Meet Luis Jimenez

CEO Zen Martial Arts

Zen Martial Arts - More Than Just a Martial Arts and Karate Workout!

Owner and Chief Instructor at Zen Martial Arts in Edna, Texas. Sensei Luis Jimenez, 6th-degree black belt and 12 times world champion, has been training martial arts for 40 years.


Since earning his 1st degree black belt in 1990, he has taught martial arts for over 35 years, guiding thousands of students to reach success in life through martial arts. His main purpose is to help as many people in our community.


Sensei Jimenez believes in building a strong foundation of self discipline, self-esteem and respect that can be transferred to all the things you love to do – both outside of the dojo and during training!


Including but not limited to:

  • All Aspects of Life


Each class is filled with exciting, hi-energy, age-appropriate drills that have been carefully designed to build strength, stamina, and endurance, as well as develop important life skills. 


Kids enjoy a fast-paced, fun filled, self defense workout that helps them grow in a positive, well disciplined, yet challenging way too!

Fears and concerns about pre-school, peer pressure, bullying, or making decisions alone can be scary. Master Jimenez is fortunate to be assisted by a team of teachers – many of whom were or still are his students! As a 6th-degree black belt, Master Luis imparts the wisdom he gained obtaining this rank during kids’ karate classes, teen & adult Karate and Fitness Kickboxing classes. How to Get Started

Come join our Zen Martial Arts facility! We offer programs for Kids and Adult Martial arts teaching Karate and Kickboxing. We're well known for our super-popular Kid Birthday Parties and we also have an award-winning after-school program and the most fun Summer Camp around!
